“Birch and Summer Fun” – this image was shot at Voyagers National Park, Minnesota.
"Wanna come with?" "Excuse me?" I said. I had never heard that expression in my entire life...and I'd heard a few. One of my favorites from the Aussies is "Good on ya mate!" I was soon to discover that this simple turn phrase, used liberally in Minnesota, is just one of the many ways they show their friendliness. It was my first time to the state and it was turning out to be fantastic!
The people, climate, woods, even the roads - yes the roads! - were all wonderful. The only thing missing was a mountain or two and I'd have sworn I was home. I'm sure that the folks up there want to keep it a secret, but they have a wonderful state and I’ll be going back. I had always wanted to go to Voyagers; it had been on my wish list a very long time, but now I knew I'd find hidden treasures... and next time I’ll bring a boat” as stated convincingly by Rodney Lough.
